Fittonia albivenis is a species of flowering plant in the family Acanthaceae, native to the rainforests of Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and northern Brazil. It is most notable for it's white/silver, pink, green or red veins that give it a very distinct, interesting look.
They can be finicky with watering and humidity needs. The leaves will look VERY droopy if water is needed and it needs attention ASAP. The soil needs to be moist but well drained.
They grow slowly but at 3-6 inches as an adult they are a convenient size to fit anywhere really from desk to side table
Nerve plants are pet friendly
Because of their fragile nature these plants are actually a great option to grow under grow lights because you can control it alot more than sunlight.
