Bone broth dog treats have become increasingly popular among pet owners seeking nutritious and delicious snacks for their four-legged friends. We make and sell these treats because they offer a range of benefits that contribute to a dog's overall health and well-being

What is Bone Broth?

Bone broth is a nutrient-rich liquid made by simmering animal bones and connective tissues. The process extracts valuable nutrients, such as collagen, amino acids, and minerals, which are beneficial for both humans and animals. The broth is then cooled, strained, and often used as a base for soups or consumed on its own. For dogs, bone broth can be incorporated into their diet in various forms, including treats.

Benefits of Bone Broth for Dogs

1. Joint Health - Bone broth is rich in collagen and other compounds like glucosamine and chondroitin, which support joint health. These nutrients help maintain cartilage and connective tissues, potentially reducing the risk of arthritis and other joint-related issues in dogs.

2. Digestive Support - The gelatin found in bone broth aids in digestion by promoting a healthy gut lining. This can be especially beneficial for dogs with sensitive stomachs or digestive issues, as it helps soothe and repair the gastrointestinal tract.

3. Immune System Boost - The minerals and amino acids in bone broth, such as calcium, magnesium, and glycine, support a dog's immune system. A strong immune system can help prevent illnesses and infections, keeping your pet healthier.

4. Hydration - Bone broth is an excellent way to keep dogs hydrated, especially those who are reluctant to drink water. The savory flavor of the broth encourages dogs to consume more liquids, supporting their overall hydration levels.

The other main ingredient here, squash is in all it's forms (spaghetti squash, butternut squash, pumpkin, zucchini) has many healthy benefits for your pup.  It is a delicious vegetable filled with important vitamins such as vitamins A, C, and B6, as well as nutrients like folate, potassium, magnesium, fiber, and phosphorus. All these vitamins and nutrients make it good for people and it can help dog's vision.  The high fiber in squash content aids in digestion and helps maintain a healthy weight. Squash is also low in calories which makes it an excellent choice for a treat and again helps you maintain your dog's proper weight. Finally the anti oxiodants found in squash can help reduce any inflammation and support a healthy immune system.  These delicious treats will have your dog begging for their vegetables and squash is very versatile and can be combined with various other dog friendly ingredients to make a homemade treat your dogs will beg for.

When we prepare our hand made squash flavored treats we are always careful to choose the right type of squash and make sure it is fresh as possible. We peel the skin and remove the seed as we know that can be difficult for some dogs to digest.  We make sure we cook it thoroughly whether steaming, boiling, or baking because it enhances the flavor and softens, making it easier to digest. We mash or puree the squash once cooked to make sure it is a smooth consistency to incorporate into our treats. WBone broth dog treats are a nutritious and tasty way to reward your pet while supporting their health. These treats can be a valuable addition to your dog's diet, promoting joint health, digestion, immune function, and hydration. We suggest that all our homemade treats be consumed within 7 to 10 days. Since they are made with all-natural ingredients, they contain no preservatives or additives to prolong their shelf life. However, they're so tasty that your dog won't hesitate to finish them quickly!
