ALOE VERA PLANT

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant within the Aloe genus, known for its thick, greenish leaves with serrated edges. Its botanical name is Aloe barbadensis miller, but it's commonly referred to as Aloe Vera. This plant has captivated plant lovers and wellness enthusiasts for centuries. Admired for its beauty and versatility, Aloe Vera has earned a place in homes around the world. Ancient cultures prized it for its healing properties. Egyptians called it the “plant of immortality.” Cleopatra included it in her beauty regimen, and Alexander the Great reportedly used it to treat soldiers’ wounds.

PLANT CARE TIPS

Watering

Aloes store water in their leaves. Water only when the soil is completely dry. If the leaves are full and plump, the plant doesn't need water. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Outdoor Aloe in sunlight needs more frequent watering.

Lighting

Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal. Direct window sunlight may cause yellowing, but many Aloe varieties tolerate direct outdoor sun.

Heat & Humidity

Thrives in 55–80°F (13–27°C). Bring it indoors if nighttime temps drop. Aloe prefers dry air and should be kept out of humid areas like bathrooms.

Soil Medium

Use cactus/succulent soil. If unavailable, add sand or small rocks to regular potting soil. Fertilize sparingly in spring and summer with a diluted succulent fertilizer.
