GOLDEN POTHOS
Epipremnum aureum, or Pothos, is a tropical aroid vine in the family Araceae and native to French Polynesia. Its glossy, heart-shaped leaves are a standout in any collection, and the mix of white and green foliage makes it a showstopper in a table setting or hanging from a high ceiling. Pothos is extremely versatile—it can be a compact 2 ft plant in a pot or grow into a 20 ft tall giant when allowed to climb. Its adaptability and attractive appearance have made it a staple in homes and offices worldwide. It goes by many names, including Devil’s Ivy and Money Plant.
PLANT CARE TIPS
Watering
Pothos plants are very forgiving when it comes to watering. It’s best to keep them on the drier side, but water regularly before the soil becomes fully dry.
Lighting
While Pothos can survive in low light conditions, they thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. Adequate light helps enhance the vibrant green and white variegation. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Heat & Humidity
Golden Pothos enjoy moderate room temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. They also thrive in high humidity, making them ideal for bathrooms and laundry rooms with good lighting.
Soil Medium
Pothos are not picky and do well in basic store-bought houseplant soil. Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent overwatering issues.
