NEON POTHOS

Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' is a vibrant houseplant cherished for its striking, lime-green foliage. Ideal for both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts, the Neon Pothos is beloved for its hardiness and minimal care requirements. Its heart-shaped leaves and trailing vine growth habit make it a versatile choice for home décor—perfect for hanging baskets or tabletop display.

PLANT CARE TIPS

Watering

Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings.  Water only when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.  Make sure the pot has adequate drainage holes so no water is stored at the bottom.  These guys can easily contract root rot.

Lighting

Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight.  Can tolerate a low light condition but it will likely remain stagnant and not produce much new growth or produce new growth very slowly.  It is survivable for the plant, but not ideal.  On the flip side you want to avoid direct sunlight with these Pothos as well.  It can lead to leaf scorching or leaves shriveling up/drying out.

Heat & Humidity

Prefers temperatures between 65–75°F (18–24°C).  The Neon Pothos enjoys high humidity making it a great houseplant to be placed in bathrooms or laundry rooms as long as their is sufficient light in the room.  People also use humidifiers and/or regular mistings to help with the humidity.

Soil Medium

Use a well-draining potting mix.  Many options available at any hardware or plant supply store in your area.   You can enhance it even more with extra perlite or sand mixed in to improve drainage and head root rot off early!

Common Issues & Maintenance

Yellowing leaves: Usually caused by overwatering or poor drainage.

Browning leaves: May indicate underwatering or too much direct sunlight.

Pests: Occasionally attracts spider mites or mealybugs—wipe leaves regularly and treat with insecticidal soap if needed.

Regularly prune your Neon Pothos to control size and encourage bushier growth.
